Summer Camp

Wow, the summer really flew by and here we are getting ready for Fall already. I have been slacking off the blogging lately, so I am playing some major catch up on my posts. It has been a crazy summer, so here goes... We started off our summer with our annual trip to Silverlake Camp. This year was a little different because in the past, Isaiah has directed the Middle School and High School part of the camp. This year, as the "Family Pastor", he was helping with the younger kids. Also, Micah was old enough to be camper this year and got to stay in a cabin with his friends. The kids love this camp and always have a blast. They have a zip line (Lily's favorite), a giant swing, a lake with paddle boats and canoes, lots of crafts, and a nightly campfire This year, they even got to shoot paintball guns. Bible verse paintball? Who would have thought?
The girls made these mustaches at craft time. I just love these silly girls!

Ready for the zip line!
The only downside to the week was that Micah ended up getting sick halfway through camp. At first, the nurse thought he was just dehydrated, but he ended up getting a pretty high fever and a bad cough. By the time we got home, we decided to take him to the doctor and it's a good thing because he ended up having pneumonia. Poor kid. He was such a trooper, too, and still wanted to participate in everything even though he wasn't feeling good.
